Global Demand for Commercial Aircraft

One of the data highlights from the Paris Air Show is an update to the Boeing 20-year commercial demand forecasts. Boeing expects global demand for air travel to increase by more than 40% by 2030 — and a total delivery of 43,600 new aircraft through 2044…essentially flat with the 2024 forecast. This projection includes 33,300 single-aisle aircraft, 7,800 widebody jets, 955 factory-built freighters and 1,545 regional jets. The Boeing 737Max and Airbus A320neo single-aisle jets currently make up roughly 4 of every 5 deliveries. Airbus last week revised its own 20-year commercial forecast by 2% to 43,240 jets.

Boeing expects 51% of demand for new aircraft to come from growth rather than replacing older aircraft.
